Identity and website for Thistle Street Traders Association, Edinburgh
Some of the bars, boutiques, restaurants and shops on Thistle Street wished to promote the street collectively using a website, blog and Twitter. The website is also supported by thorough SEO and Google Adwords campaigns.
The identity eshews clichéd thistle graphics and instead draws inspiration for a thistle's sharp prickles. This is used to create a container for the various headlines, it also forms part of the typeface. This approach will be applied in future to print based material and advertising.

With BMX racing an Olympic sport, the club aims to promote BMX racing around Scotland and encourage girls and boys of all ages to try racing in a safe and supervised environment. The website has also played a significant role in securing funding for equipment to allow beginners to try BMX racing for free. Since the website was launched over two years ago, membership has increased by 400%. A social site also keeps members updated with news and information about the club and tracks around Scotland. The social site allows members to add their own content in the forum, blogs, photos and videos sections. A YouTube channel showcases the racing footage and helps promote the club and BMX racing around the world.
