Round three of the Winter Series (Sunday 24 January) was postponed due to bad weather and track conditions. The re-scheduled rounds will be confirmed soon. Check this site for updates (dates and events are subject to change).
Winter series racing 2009-10
Registration is from noon to 1pm, racing starts around 1.30pm. The main classes are under 16, 17+, old school and cruiser. To take part you need to take out annual club membership, pay race fees and join British Cycling (details below).
Annual club membership
You will also need annual club membership (£5 for under 16, £10 16+). Membership gives you 10% off ASV Racing bikes and parts. This can be paid when you register for your first race.
Race fees
Race fees for each day are: £3 for under 16, £5 16+. These fees go towards running the club and trophies that are presented at the end of the series. The final standings are determined by the best results from 6 of the 8 rounds (days) of racing. If you want to win a trophy you need to take part in at least 4 rounds (days) of racing.
British Cycling membership
To take part in summer series racing you need to join British Cycling. Remember that if you are under 16 years of age you will need to get your parent or guardian to sign the membership application forms for you. Talk to one of the club leaders at the track or visit British Cycling's website.
